The Soul Collector

The Soul Collector
Author - Joni Mayhan
" Ghost hunting isn'at always fun and games. Sometimes it turns deadly. Paranormal Investigator and author, Joni Mayhan, battles for her life when she meets The Sole Collector. A true story."

After reading the story, I can honestly say I was kind of scared. Not during the day, or when I was busy, but when I would lay in bed at night,  in the dark, I would go back and think about this book. This book contains pictures, and even EVPs that you can go and listen to yourself with a link provided under the EVP in the book. Easy, entertaining read.

Conquering Chaos

Conquering Chaos
Authors - Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra

One of my guilty pleasures has always been the Teen Mom series on MTV. Catelynn and Tyler's story has always been interesting to me, so I decided to purchase their book. It's interesting to see that these two young people have gone through so much already and our grown up enough to handle it. Dealing with drug abuse, family abuse, pregnancy, and adoption all before they were 20 years old. I particularly didn't enjoy the way it was written. It's only because it was written by both of them. So it's very back and forth in conversation like. Very heartwarming stories, but I wish it was written differently.

The Walking Dead - Descent

The Walking Dead - Descent
Authors - Robert Kirkman and Jay Bonansinga
I found this book to be a little harder to actually get into. But once I actually got into a few chapters, I got hooked all over again. Dealing with the character, Lily, you start to realize how hard life really is in the zombie apocalypse. Tunnelling their way underground and having to live in sewers.

The Walking Dead - The Fall of The Governor (Part Two)

The Walking Dead - The fall of The Governor (Part Two)
Authors - Robert Kirkman and Jay Bonansinga
" Not for the faint of heart, this book runs on pressure cooker suspense, graphically described Bloodshed, and dark acts of brutality... This riveting character study adds a new dimension to the oeuvre by flushing out establish characters and plot lines." - school library journal

A continuation from The Walking Dead The Fall of the governor part 1, this book picks up right where part 1 left off. I thoroughly enjoyed all The Walking Dead books featuring the governor. To me, the governor was one of the best characters. Very Charming and Southern gentleman like. If you're a fan of zombies, or apocalyptic books, the series of The Walking Dead books are for you!

The second book in the series of The Walking Dead books. To me, this book was just as good as the first one. Getting into more detail about the character, the governor. Connecting back stories, and filling in gaps. I enjoyed every minute of this one!  A must read!

Ah, The Walking Dead. How I love thee! This is book one of The Walking Dead Book Series. Ive read 8 of these books, and this one, by far, is the best. Everything about this book is great! If you're a fan of the show, you'll defiantly enjoy this book! You finally understand where The Governor character comes from. You learn his back story, and you learn to love him. A Haunted Life

A Haunted Life
The true ghost story of a reluctant psychic.
Author - Debra Robinson

When I started this book, it took me a minute to get into it. I think I was expecting something different. But once I actually did get into it, I really got into it. It took me no time to finish this book. Hearing Deborah's story, made me reflect on my own personal experiences and what I have dealt with since ive been small. In 3rd grade I heard, ever night, what seemed to be talking. Mumbling in my room. Lots of voices, all too low and too many to understand. I thought I would spend the rest of my life in a mental institution. I prayed for it to go away so I could rest, and after a few weeks, it did. After research and age, ive realized this may have been spirits trying to reach out to me. I have always been touch and go in psychic abilities and refuse to really get into with people. I don't want to be judged. I agree on a lot of aspects that Deborah Robinson mentioned in this book. If you yourself may be a reluctant psychic, I recommend reading this book. I cried at times when hearing her stories. I felt for her. I still do. I hope she reaches what shes looking for and contiues to work for the good.

The Amityville Horror

The Amityville Horror
Author - Jay Anson
"This book will scare the hell out of you." - Kansas City Star

" in December 1975, the Lutz family moved into their new home on Suburban Long Island. George and Kathleen Lutz knew that one year earlier, Ronald DeFeo had murdered his parents, brothers, and sisters in the house, but the property - complete with Boathouse in swimming pool - and the price had been too good to pass up. 28 Days Later, the entire family fled and Terror..."

This story has always interested me. Could it possibly be a demonic presence that caused Ronald DeFeo to murder his entire family? Was it an excuse? Was it a mental disorder making him actually believe a demonic force made him murder his family? Could it possibly have been some kind of poison being leaked into the house making them hallucinate? After reading this book, and reading other articles online, I've come to the conclusion that, yes, it may have actually been a sort of demonic entity causing all this. The property itself may be cursed. This book even features a complete layout of the home and drawings. Its a frightening story, told well, and very interesting. A must read! Would you take a chance living in the Amityville home?

The Myrtles Plantation (The true story of America's most haunted house)

The Myrtles Plantation
The true story of America's most haunted house
Author - Frances Kermeen

First of all, let me apologize (and explain) for the condition of this book. I had a rabbit that ran loose in the house like a cat. I left my book out where he could reach it. End result? Chewed cover. I'm ok with it. It gives the book character and reminds me of my sweet bunny boy (R.I.P. Icky).
Now onto the contents of the book...
I've always had a interest in The Myrtles Plantation. If you havent heard of this beautiful plantation, you should look it up. In real life, its beautiful and very eerie. Having my own expierences there, I had a mighty need to learn more!
All about the ghost of the Myrtles Plantation and its haunting history, it kept my attention the entire time. This book did a great job capturing the true image of The Myrtles Plantation. It brings you straight into the south and you loose yourself. Very spooky and entertaining!

Simon Pegg - Nerd Do Well

Nerd Do Well - Simon Pegg
A small boy's journey to becoming a big kid.
"How did a geeky kid with a love of Star Wars end up a cult film hero working with Steven Spielberg? Simon Pegg reveals much more." - The Observer

Where do I begin? Simon Pegg. My all time favorite actor. I still dont know why it took me so long to get my hands on this book and read it. I got lost in Simon Pegg's world. And what can I say? It was a great escape! Well written and light hearted, this book is just what you think it would be. Its full of interesting facts, fun little "easter eggs", and artwork. It has it all! Its almost like reading what would be his year book! There are pictures and even a book within this book. Its put together well and made me love Simon a little more.

Mortuary Confidential

Mortuary Confidential
Undertaker's Spill the Dirt
Authors: Kenneth McKenzie and Todd Harra
"As unpredictable and Lively as a bunch of drunks at a New Orleans funeral." - Joe R. Lansdale

I found this book as I do many. I browse paranormal books on Amazon. When I read what this book was about, there was no way I could pass up reading this one! I ordered it right away!

This book contains a bunch of short stories written by different funeral directors and explains the everyday struggle, and sometimes even funny, situations they get into. As strange as this may sound, to me, this is a super comforting book. It explains things that many of us are curious about regarding death and what it takes to make the dead look presentable during the wake / funeral. It comforts me to know that when that time does eventually come for me or a loved one, I know whoever is taking care of the death, will be knowledgeable and someone just like me or you. I think that funeral directors, or anyone in this line of work, get a bad rap. They are people and they make mistakes. This book really does "put the fun back in funeral".
